Me and my doll at Mechacon in New Orleans. Both costume and doll made by me.
I am a bit late on updating but my newest doll is for sale in my Etsy shop. My original inspiration for her was a carousel but the more I worked on her the more she began to feel more like a cake or something sweet. She is my first doll of 2016. 🙂
She is one of my stuffed dolls so her body is fabric and her face, and arms are sculpted. She is lightly posable. She is approximately 26″ long. Everything is hand made from scratch and no molds ever used in my works so each one is truly unique.
My new ooak fairy art doll Seraphine is finally completed and is now for sale in my Etsy shop.
Approximately 26″ long and 13″ when seated.
Seraphine is from my cloth doll series in which fabric bodies are sewn, stuffed and then completed with sculpted face and hands. Her face and hands are created with Premier Air Dry Clay, sanded, gessoed, painted in acrylics and then finished with a varnish for protection. Her arms and legs are lightly posable. Her hair is made from red yarn (wool blend).
Her outfit is made using lots and lots of hand painted gold lace, red jewels, velvet flower petals, orange taffeta fabric , hand sewn beads and other embellishments.

My newest doll, Isabella. She is 23″ long, and 11″ when seated. Her body, arms and legs are all stuffed using a high quality cotton. Her face and hands are made of La Doll Premier Stone clay. Her costume is entirely hand sewn, and adorned with pearls, lace, chains and gears. Her hair is made of viscose. The heart on her chest is an original design based off my jewelry and has been handmade using Cernit clay. All clay is hand painted , and finalized with a high quality varnish for protection.
I decided to take a new approach to my dolls because as I have stated many times before, I get bored doing the same thing over and over again. Polymer clays are usually my medium of choice however they are so hard on my hands so I have been experimenting more with air dry clays. I also do a lot of sewing so I thought it would be interesting if I were to combine a stuffed doll with clay faces and hands. I think I will experiment with this style a bit more.
Sorry she is no longer for sale. She has been sold after an hour of posting her 🙂
